Joining the free list does not ship a product. You only receive launch and progress emails.
Optional $1 price reservation
The $1 price reservation is the same optional reservation throughout this site. It does not create a separate pricing tier.
Paying $1 holds one of 300 reservations of the planned $29 Kickstarter launch price. It does not trigger shipping of the kit. The kit ships after a successful Kickstarter pledge and fulfillment, under the campaign’s stated shipping policy. The $1 is not a subscription and not payment for the kit today. Any fulfillment promises made with an earlier reservation remain valid under their original timing and conditions.
Kickstarter purchases
Shipping and taxes are extra. Shipping regions, timing, and shipping costs are shown on the Kickstarter campaign page before you pledge. Kit payment and shipping are handled through Kickstarter (or another official checkout); not through today’s price reservation.
